Celeb Style on a Dime – Jessica Szohr

Celebs clearly love Aldo (Natalie Portman, Olivia Palermo, etc) and the most recent star to wear the affordable shoe line is Gossip Girl’s Jessica Szohr.

She attended the Pirahna 3D premiere in a ruffled, tiered Marchesa dress and Aldo’s Fawson pumps. The metallic round toe heel perfectly offsets the bold dress.

The Fawson is only available online in limited quantities in black for $44.98, but check your nearest Aldo location for other colors.

Celeb Style on a Dime – Naturi Naughton

Actress and former 3LW member Naturi Naughton hit the red carpet in a sequin number from French Connection.

Originally priced at almost $300, the “princess dress” is currently on sale for $89.99. The sparkly number is available in black, bronze and white. Unfortunately, the only hue left online is white, but check your local French Connection, they may have the other colors in stock.

Trends for Less – Bodycon Skirt

The bodycon skirt, like it’s sister the bodycon dress, is for the girl who doesn’t mind showing off her curves. It’s great when paired with a showstopping heel and relaxed top to balance out the sexiness of the skirt.

I’ve been swooning over Topshop’s strappy bodycon skirt (left) for a while now. At $55, it’s affordable, but if you’re trying to spend even less cash, Forever 21 has a similar version for less than $20.

Both would look great and turn a few heads.

Kmart Fall Collection

All this week I’ve been hearing about Kmart’s fall collection. Yes, you read correctly, Kmart! Apparently the cheap chic collection has been causing quite a buzz and is even featured in the September issues of mags like InStyle, Vogue and Glamour. So of course I had to get my hands on some photos and give you the dish.

Here’s how the discount retailer describes the collection:

The Fall 2010 Apparel collection is based on the latest trends, pulling from current styles in the fashion world like the Military-inspired Sgt. Pepper Jacket with shoulder embellishments, a Rocker Chic Bomber Jacket and Distressed Skinny Denim.  Fall wardrobe basics like the skinny cargo pant complement bolder looks like the high-waisted peplum military jacket. Where Kmart really stands out is in the details. Fine stitching, fully lined jackets, and streamlined silhouettes.
