I blog endlessly about my love of DSW {like here, here and a haul video here}. The shoe store has offerings for women, men and an extensive collection of hangbags. In addition to affordable brands, they also feature luxury designer shoes from Gucci, Marc Jacobs, Pucci and more.

In celebration of the one year anniversary of Living Fly on a Dime, I’m offering one lucky reader a $50 gift card from DSW.

Fab Under $50: Trouser Jeans

Though skinnies seem to be the preferred style of many, the trouser jean is just as fly. They have a more sleek, polished look and are flattering on most figures.

The darker washes are even acceptable to wear in some work environments when paired with a blouse or camisole and cardigan. Wear with a pointy toe heel to give the allusion of longer legs.

Salvation Army Haul

Even if you’ve just recently stumbled upon Living Fly on a Dime, you know I’m an avid thrifter and most of my thrifted finds come from Goodwill and occasionally, Housing Works. But last week I wanted to switch it up a bit. I learned that the Salvation Army has 50 percent off select items on Wednesday. So of course, I was there.

The selection was out of this world {I went to the NYC location at 46th St. between 10th and 11th}. Clothes were organized by style and color. Furniture ranged from vintage-y pieces to modern chaise lounges. I walked away with 12 items (skirts, trench coat, pants, tops) for $44.

Thrifty Threads

It’s Friday, so you know what that means…another installment of Thrifty Threads, where I showcase my thrifted and/or cheap chic finds. No matter what the cost, you can always create a look that’s fun and fly.

I know some people despise jeggings but I adore them. Jeans + leggings = sartorial heaven for me. They’re just as versatile as jeans (dress them up or down depending on your footwear) and as comfy as leggings.

I had to run errands for the day so I needed a look that was functional (i.e. not my usual stilettos) but still cute.
