Kmart Fall Collection
All this week I’ve been hearing about Kmart’s fall collection. Yes, you read correctly, Kmart! Apparently the cheap chic collection has been causing quite a buzz and is even featured in the September issues of mags like InStyle, Vogue and Glamour. So of course I had to get my hands on some photos and give you the dish.
Here’s how the discount retailer describes the collection:
The Fall 2010 Apparel collection is based on the latest trends, pulling from current styles in the fashion world like the Military-inspired Sgt. Pepper Jacket with shoulder embellishments, a Rocker Chic Bomber Jacket and Distressed Skinny Denim. Fall wardrobe basics like the skinny cargo pant complement bolder looks like the high-waisted peplum military jacket. Where Kmart really stands out is in the details. Fine stitching, fully lined jackets, and streamlined silhouettes.

Old Navy – $2 Layered Camis
Old Navy is one of my prime shopping spots for basic items (flip flops, tanks, tees, etc), so I was all giddy when I found out about a great special they have going on today and tomorrow (7/30-7/31).
When you’re ready to checkout at the counter, just say “Cami 4 Me” and the layered camisoles are just $2 (normally priced at $8.50). $2? That’s a price we can all afford. A girl can never have enough camis in her wardrobe and at such a low price, you can buy every color under the rainbow! *limit 5 per customer.
Trends for Less – Maxi Dresses
With the sweltering summer temperatures, clothes can be your best friend or your enemy. Tight garments and certain fabrics (i.e. polyester) can trap heat while flowy flocks let your skin breathe. Enter: the maxi dress. The long, loose fitting dresses come in a variety of colors and patterns, perfect for a summer day.
Contrary to popular belief, the maxi looks great on all sizes. Opt for a dress that skims your body, versus one that swallows you up. Even a simple black maxi can be dressed up with layers of necklaces or a bold necklace.
Sears has some celeb-inspired maxi dresses.
