Statement Shoes Under $50
The classic black patent pump should be a staple in every woman’s closet, but sometimes you need a bit more. A great statement shoe can take your look from plain to POW! Ruffles, bold colors, studs, bows and more are instant conversation starters and great when paired with a LBD or your tried and true skinny jeans.
Step out in style with the picks below that are sure to stand out from the crowd.
DIY – Floral Bib Necklace
I had some left over trimmings from the DIY Bloggers Challenge and I felt inspired to make a pretty little creation. Bib necklaces were huge last season and they’re still going strong. The statement making pieces are a great way to add flair to a plain tank or bare neckline. I used this Express necklace (above, left) as inspiration for my one of a kind piece.

15 Dollar Store
Thanks to frugal reader Kerstin for introducing me to the 15 Dollar Store. Yes, it’s called the 15 Dollar Store. And yes, everything is $15. And Kerstin even told me she purchased her wedding dress from here. Of course these tidbits of info stopped me in my tracks and I immediately checked out the site.
The company provides junior clothing and accessories at a price tag anyone can afford. I’m not blown away by the entire selection (some of the pieces actually look cheap and geared toward a younger audience). There are however a few recognizable brands like Necessary Objects, Rampage, YMI, Mudd, Chinese Laundry and Kenneth Cole Reaction.
And though the site is specifically for “juniors,” they have some fashion staples any woman can add to her wardrobe. There’s even a small selection for plus sizes and men. Take a peek below at some of my faves.
{boyfriend blazer and ruffled blouse}
{pleated dress and skinny jeans}
{ruffled suede heels and oversized shades}
If you’re still looking for a bikini for end of summer, they have an array of colorful options.
Have you guys ever heard of the 15 Dollar Store or any store where all clothes are one price?
Urban Outfitters Haul
I don’t know when it happened, but all of the sudden, I’m a huge Urban Outfitters fan. Though I love their items, they’re a bit too expensive. However, last week the company had an amazing $5 sale. Select pieces (shoes, clothing, accessories, home items) were drastically reduced to $5 or less.
My two-finger flower ring and rabbit ring was originally priced at $20 and $25, respectively.
Check out the short video below to see the goods I purchased and the one tip I suggest to stay abreast of your favorite stores’ sales.
I have my eye on these ruffle curtains but there’s no way I’m paying $78, so hopefully they’ll go on sale sooner rather than later.
Welcome!
